I currently teach computers at Hamlin Middle School and one section of math. I have been teaching for 20 years. I began with Springfield Public Schools as a classroom assistant for an emotionally disturbed class--so I am right at home teaching middle school students. After graduating from college I began teaching 7th grade language arts, reading, spelling and social studies at Springfield Middle School for five years. During the next three years I was a math, science and social studies curriculum specialist for all 21 schools in Springfield School District (now there are 23 schools). I have been at Hamlin for 14 years--teaching mostly 6th grade, all subjects--but am now teaching computer survey and assisting with the Talented and Gifted program.

My hobbies include computer programming, reading (particulary science related books, science fiction, and Near Eastern and ancient American studies), Boy Scouting (I've been a scoutmaster and assistant scoutmaster) and I am a proud and happy father and husband.
