Bio:
Ms. Barker was born in Roseburg, Oregon and also grew
up there. She graduated from Roseburg
High School in 1972, graduated from college in 1977, and earned her
M.A. degree in 1982. Ms.
Barker has been teaching for 29 years. She has
taught in Roseburg, Newport, Creswell, and at Marist High School in Eugene.
She was hired to work at Springfield High in 2001.
Ms. Barker's daughter, Missie, is enrolled at the University of Oregon majoring in French and biology toward a career in medicine. Her other daughter, Brooke, is enrolled at Pacific University in Forest Grove, OR, majoring in Exercise and Movement Science, leading to a career as a physical therapist.
In Ms. Barker's spare time, she enjoys playing golf, reading,
and gardening.
