AP Literature is a senior language arts class that prepares students for the AP Literature exam offered in May. Students develop literary analysis skills essential for success in college humanities classes.

AP Lit. students are encouraged to check this website periodically for assignment due dates, extra credit opportunities, and important internet sites to aid students in AP studies.

AP Lit. students designed Ancient Greek Thyrsoi and ivy crowns for our Greek theater unit. The Thyrsus is a fennel stalk topped with ivy. In Euripides' play, The Bacchae, followers of Dionysus carried these wands believed to wield magical powers. The ivy crown was awarded to the winner of the annual Dionysian Theater Festival in Ancient Greece.
