Grading Day
The first quarter is almost over. Make sure you are checking their planners daily. Yes, they do have homework. The students are responsible for writing their homework down each day in their planner. Check them each night and talk to them about what they are doing in class. This will help them be successful at SMS.
Upcoming dates:
October 30 - Grading Day
November 5-6 - Parent teacher conferences
Students are taught the expected behaviors in class and expected to follow them. This is a list of the class expectations.
1. Arrive on time with all materials.
2. Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself.
3. Work during all times.
4. Follow directions immediately.
Grades
In class the grades are based on a total point system. Each assignment, quiz, and test is worth different point values. Tests are worth more points than quizzes and assignments. I use the following scale:
93-100% = A
90-92% = A-
83-89% = B
80-82% = B-
73-79% = C
70-72% = C-
63-69% = D
60-62% = D-
Below 59%= F
Grades will be posted on my website weekly.
